Star Pattern's Founder, Julia Urbanchuk, is an expert Organization Development Leader and Practitioner. For over 25 years, she has led OD/OE and Talent initiatives across leading companies in the Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, Internet Technology, and Consumer Products industries.
Before starting her own business, she was Senior Director, Talent & Organization Development at Celgene, leading consulting and talent initiatives with business leaders across the company globally. Previously, Julia served Sr. Director Global Talent & Organization Development at eBay, where she led the company’s culture change and employee engagement initiatives. She also served as Director, Organization Development at Bristol-Myers Squibb, leading organization design, diagnosis, capability-building, and transformational change projects. Julia has also served global OD & HR roles at Merck and L’Oréal.
Julia holds a Bachelor degree in Communications from Villanova University, a Master of Science in Organizational Dynamics from the University of Pennsylvania, and a certificate from the Universidad de Cádiz in Spain. She is a Global Fellow of the Wharton School and holds many professional certifications, notably: Hogan Assessment, Global Talent Leader, Strategic Workforce Planning, Change Agent in Change Execution Methodology, Leader as Coach, 360 feedback, and Insights Discovery. She is trained in many OD methods, Lean, and Six Sigma. Julia has been quoted in Forbes.com, has published a book endorsement and is currently co-authoring her first book in the field of organizational consulting.
Externally, Julia has presented and led workshops at the NJOD Network, Tech360, Symposium for Integrated Thinking, NY HR People+ Strategy (NY HRPS), Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP), University of Pennsylvania, Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA), Drug Information Association (DIA) and Philly L&D.
Outside of work, Julia loves spending time with her family and outdoors activities -- especially in the northern Rockies.
